Tim Sheehy says he wants “pure privatization” of health care.

If he got his way, it would be bad for Montana.

Sheehy’s privatization scheme puts critical access hospitals across Montana at risk of closure because they would no longer receive funding from the federal government.

Sheehy’s “pure privatization” would also end Medicare as we know it. It would replace the guaranteed Medicare benefits older Montanans have paid for and force them to purchase private insurance coverage.

Insurance bureaucrats would be able to deny coverage, charge people with pre-existing health conditions as much as they wanted, and raise health care and prescription costs for older Montanans.

Sheehy’s “pure privatization” plan would be a pure disaster for Montana.
