New Digital Ad: Unlike Ryan MacKenzie, Representative Susan Wild Stands Up for Seniors

Allentown, PA – A new digital ad launched today across the Lehigh Valley contrasts U.S. Rep. Susan Wild (D-PA) with her Republican opponent, Ryan MacKenzie on issues important to seniors. More than 27% of registered voters in Pennsylvania’s 7th congressional district are over the age of 65.

The 30-second spot is paid for by Retired Americans PAC and will be shown to persuadable older voters throughout the district. It contrasts Rep. Wild’s work on behalf of older Pennsylvanians, including lowering prescription drug prices and capping insulin at $35 a month for Medicare beneficiaries, with MacKenzie’s vote in the legislature against a bill to protect seniors from financial harm.

“Ryan MacKenzie plays games, but Susan Wild is truly a seniors’ hero. She was a leader from day one in writing the law that’s dramatically lowering prescription drug prices for Medicare beneficiaries, and she is steadfastly opposed to any cuts to Social Security or Medicare,” said Richard Fiesta, an expert on retirement security issues and Treasurer of Retired Americans PAC.

“Older voters will play a critical role in this election,” added Fiesta. “They need to know the facts so they can vote for the candidate who will protect their interests. And that’s Susan Wild.”

In addition to the ad running in PA-07, Retired Americans PAC is currently running independent expenditure campaigns in PA-10, AZ-01, AZ-06, and MI-07.

Retired Americans PAC is the independent political arm of the Alliance for Retired Americans. Retired Americans PAC works to elect candidates who are committed to strengthening retirement security, protecting the interests of older Americans, and defeating those who have taken positions that would harm older Americans.

Below is a transcript of the ad, “No Games.”

Some politicians play games.

Take Ryan Mackenzie. He claims his “scam jam” events help seniors avoid con artists and fraudsters.

But votes against safeguarding Pennsylvania seniors.

Wow.

Congresswoman Susan Wild stands up for seniors.

She led the fight against Big Pharma’s price gouging to lower prescription drug costs for millions of Americans;

Earning her a “seniors hero” award.

Respected. Bi-partisan.

No games.

Susan Wild for Congress.
